I have struggled with my weight most of my life.  Although I am an active individual and have spent years inside of a gym my goals never seemed to be attainable.  I had tried ALL of the diets – Keto, Paleo, Low Calorie, Low Fat, Atkins, South Beach just to name a few.   They may have worked for a few weeks but they all failed me long term as they were just not sustainable for me as a way to eat long term.

In April of 2022 I began training with Mark at Elite Body.  We sat down and discussed my goals.  He educated me on the importance of balance when working towards specific goals.  The balance he educated me on came in the form of a structured gym schedule, a structured nutrition schedule and a healthy mindset of understanding how the body worked when working towards body recomposition.   Mark spoke to me in length in the beginning that I had to be consistent in my efforts on all three areas – exercise, nutrition and mindset.  I learned that nothing would change until all of these things changed.

With Mark's help I started tracking Macros daily, understanding how food fuels my body for health and to sustain my workouts.   I started strength training with Mark 3x a week and came in on my own to do board workouts that were provided for me when I was not working out with him one on one.  I understood that I needed a little bit of it all – strength, cardio and conditioning. 

Fast forward 10 months later I have lost almost 25 lbs.  dropped my body fat by 10% and have built strong lean muscles.   Outside of my weight loss and body recomposition, I am a healthier individual overall.   I have more energy throughout the day, I sleep better, recover better, have less anxiety, more clarity of mind (brain fog), normal blood work and healthy hormone levels. 

I am now looking forward to continuing with Mark and setting new goals to achieve a new level of fitness that I never imagined possible.

I have been going to Elite Body Fitness & Nutrition for about 18 months now. When I started I weighed around 240 lbs and was having a lot of issues with my legs and health and had ended up in Hospital for 4 days as I could no longer walk more than a few seconds at a time.  The Doctors wanted to send me for all kinds of tests and put me on pills but I started working with Mark and could feel myself steadily improving. It was a process, we started slowly by working on balance, then strength and balance and within about 8 weeks I was back to doing some of the best workouts I had ever done in my life. Mark changed my routines every 2 weeks to further test and improve my strength and cardio.  When I went for my check up about 90 days later, I was about 30lbs lighter and doing regular sprint sessions at the gym and had done so without the aid of any medication. 

The other great thing about the gym is they hold you accountable. You get lost in the numbers at the big gyms but Mark typically shoots me a text if I miss a couple of sessions and it works wonders to make me get in there.

Lastly the owners and other members make it a great place to workout .Everybody is there to help wherever they can and it's all one big family.  We encourage and uplift one another with no one feeling intimidated or like you don't belong.

 My weight had been stuck between 230-240 for quite a while but now I have been around 205 for the past 6 months and I still get to enjoy my cheat days.

 If you are thinking about joining a gym for any reason, I would definitely recommend Elite Body.

In February of 2022, I ended up in the

hospital the day after my birthday. I was in a lot of pain and could not keep food or water

down. It was determined that I was suffering from extreme gastritis. I had been dealing with a

lot of digestive issues and constant pain leading up to this. An endoscopy and blood work

came back as suspected celiac disease but inconclusive. This was the kick in the pants that I

needed to start making my nutrition work for me! My time at Elite became that much more

productive when I finally acknowledged that I can not workout a bad diet. Tracey and Mark

have been pivotal to the success I have experienced, along with the members of Elite Fitness,who have encouraged me along the way and recognized my efforts. I am so thrilled to see and feel the changes as my health and fitness have improved.  I cannot wait to see what the

next year brings! I feel better in my 40's than I did in my 20’s.

my progress because the scale has not moved much.

   I am grateful for Mark and Tracey for setting me up for success before my wedding.  They made the nutrition and fitness straight forward and simple to follow. They were there to help with any questions or adjustments that needed to be made along the way.  I found lots of success on the program and am continuing to learn about nutrition on my health journey.
